Coventry, once an industrial city, is located approximately 100 miles north of London within the West Midlands. Recently it is becoming famous for its two Universities, namely Coventry University and the University of Warwick. Between the two universities there is an estimated 55,000 national and international students combined. Majority of the Muslim students who live nearby regularly attend our Masjid. It is now mainly due to the Universities that we have a very large population of Muslims in Coventry. The permanently residing Muslims within Coventry are estimated at 20,000, in addition to an estimated 15,000 local students, thus totaling in the region of 35,000 Muslims in the city of Coventry.
